Proposed Evaluation com~fee - Public Involvement/Collins Avenue Project

Two Resolutions were approved by the Mayor and City Commission on June 28, 2000, which
authorized the City to do the following:
1. Resolution No. 2000-23977, authorizing the execution of a Joint Participation and
Reimbursement Agreement (JPRA) with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT),
in the amount of $300,000, which transferred to the City the community liaison/public
involvement component of the AINCollins Avenue project, from Lincoln Road to 26th
Street; and
2. Resolution No. 2000-23978, authorizing the Administration to issue Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) from specialized Public Relations firms to perform such community
liaison/public involvement services, on the City's behalf.
The City is in the process of issuing the RFQ, and when the responses are received, the
Administration proposes to appoint the following individuals to serve in the Evaluation Committee:
Stuart Blumberg, President, Greater Miami Hotel Association
One Hotelier appointed by the Collins Avenue Hotel Association
Michael Aller, Tourism and Convention Director
Maria Porrata, Public Information Manager for the Collins Avenue Project, FDOT
Gary Knight, Chairman, Transportation and Parking Committee/Collins Ave. Resident
Matthew Schwartz, Assistant City Manager
Joseph Johnson, Transportation/Concurrency Director
Jacqueline Gonzalez, Parking Director
Lynn Bernstein, Service Delivery Manager
