The following actions have been taken to address many of the hiring and retention
concerns in the Building and Planning Departments, Changes to classifications within
the Building Department have been implemented:
Chief Structural Plans Examiner, grade 17, salary range $54,086 to $86,726, The
recommended starting salary for hires to be no less than $56,790. A recent selection
has been made with an approved offer of $68,000 made to the selected candidate,
This is an increase from $47,037. With this hire, both positions will be filled.
Starting salaries for Senior Electrical Inspector, Senior Mechanical Inspector and Senior
Plumbing Inspector positions has been increased to $47,000. This is an increase from
$33,934,
The following classifications have been upgraded:
