Regarding the proposed amendment to Ordinance No. 1901 Retirement System for General
Employees going before the City of Miami Beach Commission on July 12, 2000 as item R5N, the
Budget Advisory Committee makes the following recommendation. We stxongly recommend action
should be deferred until further study is conducted on the long term and short term costs of this
proposal and how they overlay with the current five year projections.
