SUBJECT: RESOLUTION - REMOVAL OF NEWSPAPER BOXES

RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE
PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ADVISORY BOARD
SUPPORTING THE REMOVAL OF ALL NEWSPAPER BOXES IN OR
ABUTTING CITY OF MIAMI BEACH PARKS.
WHEREAS, at the May 3, 2000, Parks and Recreational Facilities Advisory Board meeting
a discussion was held concerning the placement and location of newspaper boxes in or abutting City
parks; and
WHEREAS, this discussion included the impact of such boxes on the visual appearance of
the parks; and
WHEREAS, at the conclusion of this discussion a motion was made and seconded
supporting the removal of all newspaper boxes in or abutting City of Miami Beach parks; and
WHEREAS, this motion was voted upon and passed unanimously by the Board Members
present.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF THE
PARKS AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ADVISORY BOARD, HEREBY RESOLVES:
that all newspaper boxes in or abutting City of Miami Beach Parks should be removed.
