CITY OF MIAMI BBACH, FLORIDA. SBTrING A V ALBT
PARKING FBE FOR THE THEATER OF THE
PBRFORMING ARTS (T.O,P,A,)
WHBREAS, a Valet Parking Concession Agreement has been entered into
.for a Valet Parking Service at the Theater of the Performing Arts (T,O,P,A,); and
WHBREAS, an experimental Valet Parking service during the 1985-86
T,O.P,A, season operated succe~sfully at a $5.00 per vehicle fee; and
WHEREAS, a review of Valet Parking fees in Dade and Broward County
established that a $5,00 fee per vehicle is a fair parking fee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RBSOLVBD BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, to set a Valet Parking Fee for the
Theater of the Performing Arts (T.O.P.A.) at Five ($5,00) Dollars per vehicle.

HISTORY
Per Resolution 85-18324 on December 18, 1985, the City awarded an experimental Valet
Parking License to Gold Star Parking, Inc. The license was for the balance of the
1985-86 T.O.P.A. season, established a Valet Parking fee of $5.00 per vehicle and set
the percentage of receipts to the City at 20%,
From the beginning of operations on December 31, 1985 through July 31, 1986, 10,152
vehicles were parked producing gross receipts of $50,760 and revenue to the City of
$10,152.00.
Based upon the acceptance of this service at the $5.00 fee per vehicle and a review of
valet parking service fees in Dade and Broward Counties, continuance of the $5.00 fee
per vehicle is recommended.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
The City Administration recommends that the attached Resolution for Valet Parking
fee's be adopted by the City Commission,
