SUBJECT: POLICE DEPARTMENT ACCREDITATION
This letter is presented to you to update you on the Police Department's Accreditation process.
Our Police Department ~vill be presented to the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement
Agencies (CALEA) for consideration for International Accreditation at its conference on December
2, 2000. The conference is being held in Burlington, Vermont, from November 28 to December 2,
2000. The Police Department will be represented by Chief Barreto and two members of the
Accreditation Team.
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend these proceedings as representatives of
the City and to show support for our Police Department. Any questions regarding this process and
the conference arrangements should be directed to the Police Chief.
