SUBJECT: FOURTH ANNUAL MIAMI BEACH POLICE AND FIRE GOLF CLASSIC
This Letter to the Commission is to update you on the Fourth Annual Miami Beach Police and Fire
Classic.
The Fourth Annual Miami Beach Police and Fire Golf Classic was held on Friday, October 27, 2000.
The event was started four years ago to honor police officers and fire fighters who have died of
cancer. All proceeds from the event go to the American Cancer Society.
This year's event was held at Bayshore Golf Course. More than 100 golfers participated and raised
more than $4,000. Since its inception, this event has raised more than $25,000 for the American
Cancer Society.
Please join me in congratulating all the members of the Police and Fire Departments who help put
on this event and all the participants for making it a success.
