suB~ECr: Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Nb. 01-07/08 for the Establishment of aPre-Approved
List of Construction Engineering and Inspection Services (CEI) Firms to provide various
CEI services on an "as needed basis."
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on Request for Qualifications
(RFQ) No. 01-07/08 and to request approval of the proposed Evaluation Committee
On October 23, 2007 RFQ No. 01-07/08 was issued for apre-approved list of professional
construction engineering and inspection services (CEI) firms to provide various CEI services on an
"as needed" basis.
"As needed basis" means that each firm awarded a contract will agree to be placed on a
professional CEI list where the City may call upon them to perform professional projects as assigned
by the Administration. As the need for service arises, firms will be contacted to provide the
necessary professional services according to the negotiated scope of work and cost.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee on the
above subject RFQ:
• Jose Rivas City Civil Engineer II Public Works
• Fabiola Dubuisson City Engineer Asst. I Public Works
• Aurelio Carmenates Capital Projects Coordinator CIP
• Terry Belchman Leadership Academy Graduate and Miami Beach Resident
• Robert Fairless Leadership Academy Graduate and Miami Beach Resident
