Pursuant to Resolution 2007-26696 approved on October 17, 2007, a Miami Beach Special
Election has been called for the January 29, 2008 Presidential Preference Primary Election.
The following ballot question will be submitted to the Miami Beach Electorate:
Ballot question:
"Hospital District" Charter Amendment
Shall the Charter be amended to provide that when a "Hospital District" is rezoned,
such property shall be rezoned to a district or combination of districts with a floor
area ratio no greater than the abutting land (sharing lot line, except that "Hospital
District" property exceeding 15 acres may exceed this limitation if adequate buffers
are provided to protect abutting uses?

Attachment "A" is the Early Voting schedule and Early Voting locations provide by the Miami-
Dade Elections Department. Please note that Miami-Dade County Elections Department has
elected to use the Miami Beach Regional Library, 227 22"d Street, instead of Miami Beach
City Hall. The reason given is the City Hall Early Voting location is too small for a countywide
election. The North Shore Branch Library, 7501 Collins Avenue, will continue to be used for
Early Voting.
Attachment "B" is a list of the Convention Center schedule for the month ofJanuary, 2008. As
the schedule indicates, parking around City Hall will be a challenge particularly during the
early voting timeframe and Election Day. On Election Day, January 29'h, special parking
arrangements will need to be made because City Hall and the Botanical Garden Center will
continue to be Election Day polling precincts.
