A RESOLUTION OF THE M,A YOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A BEQUEST
TO THE RECREATION DEPARTMENT IN AN
APPROXIMATE AMOUNT OF FIFTEEN
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($15,000.00) UNDER
THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF
FLORENCESCHREER
WHEREAS, Florence Schreer, a resident of Miami Beach, has generously made a bequest
in the approximate amount of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) to the Recreation Department
ofthe City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, such bequest will be used to improve recreational opportunities for the
residents, citizens, and taxpayers of the City of Miami Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby gratefully accept and acknowledge the bequest of approximately Fifteen
Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) from the Estate of Florence Schreer.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day ofFebruary, 2001.

ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
Approve the Resolution.
ANALYSIS
We have been advised by Scott R. Jay, Esq. that under the Last Will and Testament of Florence
Schreer, the Recreation Department has received a bequest in the amount of Fifteen Thousand
Dollars ($15,000.00). The Estate has been filed in the Circuit Court for Miami-Dade County, Florida
and the attorney for the Estate has published the Notice of Administration and is in the process of
marshaling the assets and preparing to make distributions from the Estate.
The attached Resolution formalizes the acceptance of the gift and acknowledges that it is received
in memory of Florence Schreer. Upon adoption of the Resolution, the Administration will transmit
a copy to the attorney for the Estate in recognition of this kind gift to the City of Miami Beach.
