A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN
ADDENDUM TO THE CITY'S STATE LEGISLATIVE AGENDA
FOR THE 2008 SESSION OF THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE.
WHEREAS, on January 16, 2008, the Mayor and City Commission approved a list of
legislative priorities for the 2008 State Legislative Agenda; and
WHEREAS, the City presented its initial Legislative Agenda to the Miami-Dade County
Legislative Delegation in January, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the City's numerous State-level needs have been assessed and prioritized to
produce the most effective use of its legislative team; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wish to amend their Legislative Agenda
for 2008 as reflected in the attached Addendum.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City of Miami
Beach's State Legislative Agenda for the 2008 Session of the Florida Legislature is hereby
amended, as more specifically set forth in the attached Addendum hereto.

Pursuant to the request of Vice-Mayor Jerry Libbin, the above-referenced Resolution is
submitted for consideration by the Mayor and City Commission. The Resolution approves
an addendum to the City's 2008 Legislative Agenda that supports an amendment to the
Florida Statutes that would allow local governments to regulate the sales of single cans of
beer in package and convenience stores.
