Gonzalez ~C~ City Manager SUBJECT: ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY YEAR 2000 FINAL ECONOMIC REPORT Every year, the Office of Economic Development Division compiles an economic impact report on the entertainment industry in the City of Miami Beach. The report divides the industry into six sectors: fashion, film, music, new media, televisionJeable and production. The report also provides an industry overview of the number of companies, employees, square footage leased, and the overall operating budgets of these entertainment companies. On February 13, 2001 the final economic report will be presented. The presentation will take place at Miami City Ballet, 2200 Liberty Avenue, Main Conference Room, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. The report will be given at the annual joint meeting of the Miami Beach Production Industry Council, Miami-Dade Mayor's Office of Film and Print, the North Miami Beach Film Council and the State of Florida's Film & Entertainment Commissioner. Following the City of Miami Beach economic impact report, Rebecca Mattingly, Commissioner, State of Florida's Office of Film and Entertainment will make a report on the economic assessment of Florida's Film and Entertainment Industry.
