SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee for RFQ 17-00/01, Long Range Plan for Electrowave
I am considering appointing the following individuals, who have first-hand knowledge about the
needs of the shuttle program, to serve on the Evaluation Committee for RFQ No. 17-00/01,
Development of a Long Range Plan (LRP) for the Electrowave Shuttle Service:
1. Joseph Johnson Transportation/Concurrency Management Director ~ Project Manager
2. Wilson Femandez MPO Project Manager for Transit-Related Projects *
3. Judy Evans Exec. Director, Miami Beach Transportation Management Association
and member of the City's Transportation and Parking Committee
4. Andrew Terpak Fleet Management Director
5. Amelia Johnson Transportation Coordinator/Electrowave Financial Manager
· The MPO will fund 80% of the LRP costs.
In order for the LRP to be completed and submitted for City Commission consideration prior to the
August recess, and prior to the finalization of the FY 2001-02 Electrowave Operating Budget, we
have been forced to shorten the LRP preparation process from 150 to 75 days. Therefore, bid
responses will be open on February 28, 2001, the Evaluation Committee will meet on March 5th,
and the related Agenda Item will be prepared for the March 14th Commission Meeting.
Please let me know by the close of business on February 23, 2001, if you have any suggested changes
