USE TRACEABLE 11.4IL
SERVICES TO SEND
PASSPORT APPLICATIONS
TO LOCI~BO~
ACCEPTANCE FACILITIES
URGED TO USE
ONLY TRACEABLE MAIL SERVICES!
U. S. Postal Service and non-U. S. Postal Ser<~ce Passport
Application Acceptance Facilities are strongly urged to use
ONLY traceable U. S. Postal Sen%ice mail services to send passport
applications to the Lockbox address.
This is also a reminder that Facilities may no longer use FedEx or
non-USPS setti7ces to send applications to the Lockbox address.
Using mail services that indicate a tracking number and/or receipt
of the applications at Lockbox ~~zll lessen the possibilit}% of "lost"
passport applications. Without a tracking number, it is nearly
impossible for us to track passport applications once they leave
youur Facility. Lost applications mean ut~llappy customers.
We strong/}' urge you to use ONLY the follo~~-ing U. S. Postal
Service mail delivery options to mail passport applications:
• tJ. S. Postal Service Express Mail
• U. S. Postal Service Priority Mail wwith delivery confirmation
• First-Class Mail using either: Certified Mail, Registered Mail,
Retum Receipt, or Signature Confirmation
We appreciate youur cooperation in this effort to provide the
traveling public with the best passport scnZCCS possible.
