2001-24310 RESO RESOLUTION NO. 2001-24310 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING Newell Wilder AS A MEMBER OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD TO REPRESENT GROUP I FIRE, POLICE AND BEACH PATROL EMPLOYEES, FOR THE UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING JULY 31, 2002. WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Mayor and City Commission of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, a Certificate of the Clerk and Inspectors who conducted an election on March 27,2001, for the purpose of electing a member ofthe Personnel Board Group I of the City employees to serve on the Personnel Board; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission have examined the Certificate and herein wish to accept the results ofthe election; and WHEREAS, there were a total of 104 votes cast; with --1L votes for Gary Aime; ~ votes for Joan Donnelly; ..1.L votes for Steven Krowitz; and --1L votes for Newell Wilder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Certificate of the results of the Group I Personnel Board election are hereby accepted and that Newell Wilder, having received the highest number of votes cast, is found to be duly elected to represent Group I Fire, Police and Beach Patrol employees for the unexpired term ending July 31, 2002. FOR EXECUTION 1~_ 3;;::-dr CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION PERSONNEL BOARD - GROOP I CITY OF MIAMI BEACH EMPLOYEES STATE OF FLORIDA COUNTY OF DADE: We, the undersigned Clerk and Inspectors, do hereby certify, that we held and conducted an election of the members of Group I employees of the City of Miami Beach, at City Hall, 1700 Convention Center Drive, on March 27, 2001, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., for the purpose of electing a member of the Personnel Board to represent Group I; that at the close of the polls, we proceeded to open the ballot box and count the ballots, and found the results of said Election to be as follows: THAT there were a total of 104 votes cast. ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the Resolution. ANALYSIS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 93-2868, an election was held to fill an expired term on the Personnel Board to represent Group I employees (Fire, Police and Beach Patrol). An election was held on March 27, 200 I. The ballot contained four candidates. A total of ~ votes were cast as follows: ....lL votes for Gary Aime; --.!L votes for Joan Donnelly; ~ votes for Steven Krowitz; and ....3lL votes for Newell Wilder. Newell Wilder received the highest number of votes and is duly elected to represent Group I employees on the Personnel Board for the unexpired term ending July 31, 2002.
