SUBJECT: Opening of TERROR at The Colony Theatre- Miami New Drama
Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 8PM
Miami New Drama will debut its first production as resident company of The Colony
Theatre with the American premiere of the cutting edge European hit drama TERROR
by Ferdinand de Schrich. The play portrays the courtroom trial of a military pilot who has
shot down a hijacked commercial flight being propelled towards a crowded stadium. This
internationally acclaimed courtroom drama casts the audience as jurors, asking you to
decide the pilot's fate.
Michel Hausmann has recruited two-time Tony Award winner and former Artist Director
of New York's acclaimed Lincoln Center, Gregory Mosher, to direct the production.
Mosher is perhaps one of the most important and accomplished living directors today
and has directed/produced more than 200 plays at Lincoln Center and Goodman
Theatre in Chicago Chicago, on and off Broadway, at the Royal National Theatre, and in
London's West End. His recent work includes Broadway productions of A View from the
Bridge (with Liev Schrieber and Scarlett Johansson), That Championship Season (with
Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric, Chris Noth and Brian Cox) and the Kennedy Center's
production of Richard Nelson's adaptation of Ferenc Molnar's The Guardsman (with Finn
Wittrock and Sarah Wayne Callies).
The cast of TERROR is also remarkable, starring TV/Film Star Mia Maestro (Frida, The
Strain, Motorcycle Diaries) as the lead; Pascale Armand, a 2016 Tony Awards nominee
for Best Actress; the legendary Broadway Actress and Tony Award Nominee Maria
Tucci; and two of South Florida's most talented actors, Rita Joe and Gregg Weiner.
