SUBJECT: PORTABLE LIGHTING TOWERS A`'" SOUTH POINTE PARK
In preparation of High Impact Event Periods in the upcoming weeks, the Parks and
Recreation Department is working with the Police Department to station six portable light
towers at South Pointe Park. The light towers will be activated starting Friday, March 3rd
and continue through the high impact season.
These light towers will be strategically posted throughout the park. All illumination will be
directed into the park and away from neighboring residential condominiums. Light towers
will be turned on by 8:00 p.m. and turned off at approximately sunrise, seven days a
week.
These protective measures are an additional step in providing a safe and enjoyable
experience for residents and park patrons alike. Park and pier hours will not be affected
and will adhere to regular hours of operation.
