SUBJECT: 2017 SPECIALTY CAMP REGIST ATION
LETTER TO COMMISSION
The purpose of this LTC is to notify the Mayor and City Commission that the Parks and
Recreation Department will begin distributing information for the 2017 Specialty Camp
Registration process. Registration will open for Miami Beach residents on Sunday, April
23, 2017 at 10am.
Specialty Camp registration and payments will be handled through Capturepoint, our
online registration and payment system. Last year's strong campaign to notify and
encourage residents to create their user profiles in Capturepoint allowed us to capture a
robust amount of data of resident information that will make this summer's Specialty
Camp registration process run efficiently.
Additionally, computer labs and kiosks will be staffed and available on Sunday, April 23,
2017 from 10am to 4pm at the following locations for people needing online registration
assistance:
• North Shore Park — 501 72nd Street
• Scott Rakow Youth Center — 2700 Sheridan Avenue
• Flamingo Park — 999 11th Street
• IT Training Room —1755 Meridian Avenue (3rd Floor)
