The purpose of this LTC is to notify the Mayor and City Commission of the release of the
2017 Summer Camp edition of the Recreation Review, designed by the Office of
Communications for the Parks and Recreation Department. This edition features
information about our exciting Summer Camp, Specialty Camps and Sports Camps, for
children in grades K-12.
The Recreation Review is being mailed to over 5,000 families with children who live in
Miami Beach. Additional copies of the magazine were printed and will be distributed
locally throughout the next few months via our parks, youth centers, schools, City Hall
and local businesses.

residency, you'll be ready to register for the 2017
Summer Camp once the registration period opens.
1. Go to https://register.capturepoint.com/
MiamiBeach. Click on "Create an account".
2. Fill out all requested information.
3. Make sure you select a type of membership
"resident" or "non-resident".
4. Complete your registration process by bringing
proof of residency to one of our site in order to be
fully registered. Scott Rakow Youth Center, North
Shore Park Youth Center or Flamingo Park.
5. Once residency is verified we will issue you a
picture ID card.
• If computer assistance is needed, visit one of our sites mentioned
above to help you through the process.

Camp
Specialty camps focus on specific interests and provide
an opportunity to pursue a hobby, develop a craft or
learn something new. Participants must register at least
one-week prior to the first day of camp. Camps may be
cancelled due to lack of enrollment. Refund policy and

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Children who live in Miami Beach are eligible
for resident rates. You must bring participant's
birth certificate or most current report card
and one of the following: current lease or
property tax statement showing your homestead
exemption or approved exemption application;
and one of the following: Picture ID, voter's
card, drivers license or utility bill. We may
require additional documentation. Step by step

REFUND POLICY
SUMMER CAMPS, SPECIALTY CAMPS,
CLASSES & PROGRAMS
Due to the seasonal nature of our camps,
classes and programs and their popularity and
limited space, we are precluded from issuing
any refunds or credits within two weeks of
the program start date for any cause. Refund
requests must be received in writing two weeks
prior of program start date to receive a 50%
refund or a full credit to be applied to a sibling
or another program within the same fiscal year.

for qualified Miami Beach residents. To be
considered for financial aid, you must submit
a complete registration and scholarship packet.
Some restrictions apply. Documentation may
