A RESOLUTION OF THE CHAIRMAN AND THE MEMBERS OF
THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
APPROPRIATING $1,970,000 FROM THE PROCEEDS OF MIAMI
BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TAX INCREMENT
REVENUE BONDS SERIES 1998 (CITY CENTER/HISTORIC
CONVENTION VILLAGE) FOR THE SETTLEMENT OF ALL FEES
AND COSTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE AMERICAN
RIVIERA REAL ESTATE COMPANY ("ABLON") PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 211 - 215 22ND STREET.
WHEREAS, to assemble the land necessary to develop the Cultural Campus, on May 30,
2001, the Mayor and City Commission held a special Commission meeting and adopted Resolution
No. 2001-24400 approving a settlement between the City of Miami Beach and American Riviera
Real Estate Company, and Palm Court at 23rd Street, LTD., (Palm Court, Inc., General Partner),
authorizing the execution of any and all necessary documents; and
WHEREAS, to effectuate said settlement, it is necessary to appropriate $1,970,000 from the
proceeds of Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency Tax Increment Revenue Bonds Series 1998 (City
CenterIHistoric Convention Village) for the settlement of all fees and costs for the acquisition of the
American Riviera Real Estate Company ("Ablon") property located at 211 - 215 22nd Street.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND
MEMBERS OF THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, that the Chairman and
Secretary appropriate $1,970,000 from the Proceeds of Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency Tax
Increment Revenue Bonds Series 1998 (City CenterIHistoric Convention Village) for the settlement
of all fees and costs for the acquisition ofthe American Riviera Real Estate Company ("Ablon")
property located at 211 - 215 22nd Street.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of June, 2001.

ADMINISTRATIVE RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the Resolution.
ANALYSIS
To assemble the land necessary to develop the Cultural Campus, on May 30, 2001, the Mayor and
City Commission held a special Commission meeting and adopted Resolution No. 2001-24400
approving a settlement between the City of Miami Beach and American Riviera Real Estate
Company, and Palm Court at 23rd Street, LTD., (Palm Court, Inc., General Partner), authorizing the
execution of any and all necessary documents. To effectuate said settlement, it is necessary to
appropriate $1,970,000 from the proceeds of Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency Tax Increment
Revenue Bonds Series 1998 (City CenterIHistoric Convention Village) for the settlement of all fees
and costs for the acquisition of the American Riviera Real Estate Company (" Ablon") property

It is therefore recommended that the RDA Board adopt the attached Resolution appropriating
$1,970,000 from the proceeds of Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency Tax Increment Revenue
Bonds Series 1998 (City CenterIHistoric Convention Village) for the settlement of all fees and costs
