Friday, November 21St: Senior Scenes Thanksgiving Dinner -Parks and Recreation Department is proud to announce the North Shore Park and Youth Center's Senior Scenes Program Participants Thanksgiving Dinner. The program includes approximately 140 participants and we expect about 70 to attend the feast that will be held at the North Shore Park and Youth Center's gymnasium from S:OOpm to 8:OOpm. Friday, November215t: Teen Club Thanksgiving Dinner-The Miami Beach Teen Club will be hosting its 3~d Annual Thanksgiving dinner at 6:OOpm at 21St Street Recreation Center. It will be the first time the teens at both sites (Scott Rakow Youth Center & North Shore Park & Youth Center) will come together for this event. More than 150 Teens and Parents are expected to attend. Awards will be given out for most volunteer hours and our new Teen Club Mentors will be officially introduced. Friday, December 5t`': 4th Annual Winter Wonderland -North Shore Park and Youth Center will present its 4th Annual Winter Wonderland from 6:OOpm to 9:OOpm. The lawn will be transformed into the biggest "Snow Village" Miami Beach has ever seen, with rides, food, games, and our famous 50 TONS OF SNOW scattered throughout the wonderland! Mr. & Mrs. Clause will make a special visit as they travel from the North Pole to take pictures with everyone. Children from the City of Miami Beach's after school programs will dazzle the audience with holiday performances and caroling throughout the event. Friday, December 12th: Holiday Happenings- Join us for an evening of holiday family fun and entertainment at this year's Holiday Happenings at the Scott Rakow Youth Center, from 6:OOpm to 8:30 pm. This year's event will feature a variety of carnival games, rides, live performances and a booth to decorate your own cookie. The S.R.Y.C. ice skating rink will be open to the public from 8:OOpm to10:00pm. Friday, December 19th: The Nutcracker- The North Shore Park and Youth Center after school kids will perform their own rendition at 7:OOpm. In this story, the children play a very important roll, dancing and acting, while the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky enriches the environment in every scene. Happy Holidays To All!
