Florida Power and Light scheduled tree-pruning locations. Florida Power and Light (FPL), routinely schedules the clearing of tree limbs within close proximately to their transmission lines utilizing certified line clearing specialists. When this work is required, the FPL Utility Arborist works directly with the City Urban Forester; Dr. Christopher Latt to ensure the work is performed according to industry standards and with a minimum of disruption to our citizens. According to the 2007 Florida Statutes 63.3209, this work is permitted when the Utility provides the official designated by the local government, in this case Dr. Latt, with a minimum of 5 business days' advance notice. Recently Florida Power and Light has contacted Dr. Latt to advise him that they have scheduled maintenance pruning during the second halt of November with completion planned for the second week of December at the following locations; • Alton Road Area 1- La Gorce Island entrance South fo 37th Street, East to Indian Creek and West to North Bay Rd; • Alton Road Area 2 - 28th Street South to 6'" Street, East to Pennsylvania Avenue and West to West Avenue; • DadeNenetian Area -Sunset Islands 3, 4 and Belle Isle.
