Communikatz activities for week of April 30 - May 4
We are pleased to report to you the following activities undertaken during the above referenced
week by members of the Communikatz staff:
. Prepare agenda for 5/3 Business Advisory Committee meeting
. Prepare copies of agenda and previous minutes for distribution at meeting
. Staff and facilitate Business Advisory Committee meeting
. Communicate with Task Force chairman on a continual basis to discuss arising issues and
items for discussion at future meetings
. Communicate with FDOT senior project engineer on a continual basis
. Walk/drive through corridor at least twice daily to assess conditions, troubleshoot as needed
. Participate in encroachment meetings with hoteliers, FDOT and City staff
. Respond to hotelier concerns by obtaining answers from City staff, police, FDOT and
contractor and visit sites as necessary
. Respond to resident concerns by obtaining answers from City staff, police, FDOT and
contractor and visit sites as necessary
. Respond to business owner concerns by obtaining answers from City staff, police, FDOT
and contractor and visit sites as necessary
. Ongoing preparation of project budget
. Gain text approvals for first project brochure
. Prepare and distribute Maintenance of Traffic bulletin for week starting May 6
. Prepare meeting notice for Task Force meeting
. Establish telephone answering system for project Community Awareness Program office
. Attend construction progress meeting with FDOT and contractor
. Distribute landscape plans to hotels
. Meet with Sgt. Paul Lupien to discuss issues concerning off-duty officers
. Attend meeting in City Manager's office to discuss potential city/FDOT construction conflicts,
schedules and pending work
. Along with city staff, meet with general managers of affected hotels to discuss traffic
modifications for May 6 due to water line leak
. Visit all businesses on west side of 1600 block of Collins Avenue to inform them (1) sidewalk
at 17 Street and Collins will be repaired by May 8; (2) signs will be posted restricting
sidewalks to pedestrian traffic; and (3) two crews will be working on drainage to speed up
construction
. Develop project database of contacts (ongoing)
