2001 ASSESSMEN ROLL ESTIMATE
Subject:
As required by Florida Statute, the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser advised us that
the 2001 Assessment Roll Estimate for the City of Miami Beach is $9,220,000,000. The
preliminary estimate is for budget planning purpose only. The official assessment will be
released on June 29, 2001.
This estimate represents an increase of 10.2% over the 2000 preliminary assessment of
$8,367,448,538, At this time, the estimate does not provide break-out of new construction
or for the Redevelopment Districts.

The following estimatei:i being provided in accordance with
Cha tel' 200.065(7), Florida Statutes, which states:
"(7) The Property Appraiser sball deliver to the
presiding officer or each taxing authority within the
County, JUne 1", an estimate of the total aSliessed
value or non-exempt property for the current year for
budget planning purposes."
The Certification of T~le Value (Form DR-420) will be
de1'vered to all taxing authorities on July 1", Receipt of
the e values on July 1" initiates the Statutory budget and
mil age calendar.
The month of June is the most active and concentrated period
at he end of the assessment cycle in terms of preparing the
ass ssment roll for completion by July 1". As such, the
proj ections used in preparing the figure provided below
rep esen~ the best estimate available for measurin~ the
cha ges taking effect durin~ June.
