SUBJECT: Proposed Evaluation Committee for Engineering Services for the re-design of the
Venetian Islands Neighborhood Right-of-way Improvement Project
On June 1, 2009, RFQ No. 42-08/09 was issued for the re-design, bid and award, and
construction management services for the re-design component for Venetian Islands Bid
Package 13C Neighborhood Right-of-way Improvement Project to include additional stormwater
infrastructure, additional potable water system infrastructure and additional streetscape /
hardscape improvements.
In light of the circumstances of this particular project, please note that the Venetian Islands
Homeowner's Association (VIHA) has requested that the resident composition of this Evaluation
Committee be comprised of residents of those islands. Our typical process consists of a diverse
and balanced resident composition but the VIHA would like a majority representation.
Therefore, I am proposing to appoint the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation
Committee on the above referenced RFQ:
Eleanor Carney President, Venetian Islands Homeowner's Assn.
Scott Dutcher Acting Secretary, Venetian Islands Homeowner's Assn.
Todd Davis Rivo Alto Island resident
Mario Gonzalez-Pola Sr. Capital Projects Coordinator
Jose Perez Civil Engineer III
Alternate:
Juergen Brendel Acting Treasurer, Venetian Islands Homeowner's Assn.
I would apprec'ate your comments and/or suggestions by July 2, 2009.

cc: Tim Hemstreet, Assistant City Manager
Jorge Cano, Assistant CIP Director
Mario Gonzalez-Pola, Senior Capital Projects Coordinator
