SUBJECT Condominium Courses 2009 with the State of Florida Condominium
Ombudsman's Office
The purpose of this LTC is to announce that the City of Miami Beach Community Resource
and Outreach Team in partnership with the Office of the State of Florida Condominium
Ombudsman will be holding a Condominium Course on Thursday, December 10, 2009 in
the Miami Beach Regional Library, 227 22nD Street, 1a Floor community Room, 3:00 p.m. -
5:00 p.m.
The topic will be Condominium Rules and Regulations. The State of Florida Condominium
Ombudsman's Office was created to serve as a neutral resource for condominium unit
owners, board members and property managers throughout the State of Florida.
The class will be taught by Mr. W illiam and Mrs. Susan Raphan. The Raphans have worked
as volunteers for the Condominium Ombudsman's office from its inception. They helped
establish policies and procedures for the office and have served as State employees
managing the Fort Lauderdale branch of the Ombudsman's office for the past several years.
Additionally, they have conducted seminars and lectures on condominium issues throughout
the state and taught classes at Broward College and Palm Beach Community College for the
past 3 years. The Raphans also train monitors around the State of Florida to conduct
elections in condominiums.
