SUBJECT: CityVision #32 -Now Airing on MBTV77
The purpose of this LTC is to inform you of the most recent City~sion show now airing on
MBTV-77. As part of Miami Beach's ongoing efforts to provide enhanced information about
the City to the community, "CityVision" is produced by our Communications Department as a
30-minute news magazine specifically to itlustrale the City's progress in meeting the goals of
our Strategic Plan and to provide information to our residents on current events, programs
and services that affect them. Attached for your review and reference is a DVD copyofthis
latest program.
The February/March 2010 edltion of CityVision features the following news stories:
• Report on the new Miami-Dade Transit bus routes in our City, Including the Airport
Flyer and the Mid-North Beach Connector;
• Tour of the new "1111 Linwfn Road" Project;
• A look inside the water and sewer upgrades happening to Indian Creek Drive;
• A report on the Flamingo Park Neighborhood Association's "Walkability Study"; and,
• Details on our Police Department's transition from paper to digital reporting.
Other topics covered during the show are Art Basel Miami Beach, the 2010 U.S. Census,
Festival of the Arts, the South Beach Comedy Festival, our Parks 8 Recreation
Department's athletic leagues and the completed renovations of Little Stage Theater. This
edition of "CityVision" was shot inside the beautiful North Beach Bandshell to highlight for
our residents and viewers an example of MiMo architecture, which is now gives Miami
Beach three (3) historic districts in the National Register of Historic Places.
