SUBJECT: Soft Opening of the New Normandy hores Golf Club Clubhouse ,
- ~ ' ~ The purpose of this LTG is to provide you a status update on the opening of the new •
Normandy Shores Golf Club Clubhouse: The facility received its Temporary Certificate of
..
Occupancy on March 26, 2010. Since the ,receipt of this certificate,, the City's, Capital ~ - .
-" - frnprovements Projects Office, fhe Parks and Recreation Department and .our golf
-` ~ management company,- Professional course Management (PCM), have been working to .
obtain all municipal and state permits required. to operate the facility. 1n addition, work has
- contiriued' outfitting the new clubhouse; including the set-up the interior :and exterior
- ~ . furniture; installation of the wall and window treatments; and preparing the bar,and kitchen
for food service, etc. Concurrently, the contractor has been working to address the punch..

The team has also been working to complete the transition out of the modular unit that has.
`served as the temporary' ,clubhouse since-the renovated Normandy-Shores Golf Club. golf
` course re-opened' for to the public forplay on December 26; 2008. This includes the moving
ofthe pro-shop and its entire inventory; the relocation of selectfurnishings,-telephone, arid..
computer and Internet services; and kitchen/.bar equipment etc. It is currently anticipated
that the full complement of golf and .food/ ..beverage services in the~new clubhouse will be ,
• available arid' open to the public on or before, Saturday, April 17, 2010, as a soft opening.-
The removal of the temporary clubhouse'is scheduled to begin the week of April 19, 2010,
~- and be completed within seven working days. The clubhouse construction.contractorwIll
'then initiate actions to complete the restoration of the remaining scope of work, such as the
" ~ site work (grading, drainage, curb and,gutter etc.), install the golf staging area, and~complete ~ ,
" the other'half of the parking ot.and landscaping.. It is anticipated that this process will take
riinety days or less. At that time,. following the completion of all' planned work, the City will
• ,- -host a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration. .
Begihning this week PCM will be initiating an advertizing campaign to notify the residents of
.. Normandy Shores, all of Miami Beach and the surrounding communities of the opening of
the new, Normandy Shores Golf Club Clubhouse and the amenities itoffers, as well food and
