suB~ECT: REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 02-24765 AND ABOLISHING THE
PUBLIC SAFETY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
At City Commission meeting held on May 12, 2010, the City Commission via Resolution No.
2010-27385 repealed Resolution No. 2002-24765 which created the Public Safety Advisory
Committee.
As stated in the May 12th repealing Resolution, the purpose and responsibilities of the
Committee have been adequately addressed and handled by the City Administration and
other related Committees with the City.
Presently there are four (4) appointed members and three (3) vacancies on the Committee,
see attached.
The City Clerk's office will notify the members and thank them for their time, and valuable
input and service to the City and to the residents of the City of Miami Beach. In addition, the
Clerk's office will review with them other board and committee appointment opportunities.

Composition:
The Committee shall be constituted for a period of one (1) year with the Commission opting to extend
this period at the conclusion of the one (1) year in which the Committee has met.
The committee shall composed of;
seven (7) members who shall be direct appointees by the Mayor and City Commissioners.
Each member shall be a resident or a representative or member of the business community.
The Committee will act as policy advisers in the area of community and public safety for both the City
Commission and the Administration.
