suaiECT: EVALUATION COMMITTEE FO
09/10, FOR SECURITY GUARD
20POSALS (RFP) NO. 28-
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on Request for Proposals
(RFP) No. 28-09/10, for Security Guard Services.
As a result of today's market conditions, an objective of this RFP is to compare the existing
contract rates with the rates submitted by the lowest and best bidder, pursuant to the RFP, and
determine if it's in the City's best interest to reject proposals and renew the current contract with
Security Alliance, or award a new contract.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee on
the above subject RFP:
• Sgt. Wayne Jones, Community Affairs Unit and Contracts Administrator, Police
Department
• Miguel Beingolea, Parking Operations Manager, Parking Department
• Karen A. Elder, Miami Beach Resident, Citizens Police Academy Graduate
• Gabriel J. Paez, Miami Beach Resident, Citizens Police Academy Graduate and Alumni
Vice-Chair
• Nick Pietrocarlo, Miami Beach Resident, Citizens Police Academy Graduate and Alumni
Chairperson
• Cornelius'Tim" O'Regan, Contract Administrator, Police Department
• Martha Iglesias, Miami Beach Resident
Alternates:
• Glenn Costales, Miami Beach Resident, Citizens Police Academy Graduate
• Jeff Gordon, Miami Beach Resident, Citizens Police Academy Graduate
• Marcela Mazur, Miami Beach Resident, Citizens Police Academy Graduate
• Paul Begelman, Captain, Miami Beach Boardwalk Citizen Patrol
I would appreciate your comments and/or suggestions by May 24, 2010.
Thank you,
a Gus Lopez, Procurement Director
