Gonzalez, City Manager City of Miami Beach 1700 Convention Center Dr. Miami Beach, F1.33139 Re: August 1, 2010 Transition o, f PEG Channels to Digital Dear Mr. Gonzalez; This letter is to give the City of Miami Beach a reminder (prior reference letter dated March 8~', 2010) that, effective August 1, 2010, Atlantic Broadband will be transitioning all public, educational and governmental ("PEG") channels in our cable system to our lowest tier of digital service. The transition of these channels is part of an overall transition of our cable television system to a digital format, providing better picture quality and allowing us to provide High Definition and other broadband services that our customers demand. The affected channels are: 76 Miami-Dade Television 77 Local Municipal Access 78 CableTAP Community -CTAPC 79 CableTAP Learning -CTAPL Our Limited and Value Video customers do not need to change their level of service to continue watching these channels however, additional equipment may be necessary unless they have a TV set with a digital tuner already built in. For customers with Atlantic Broadband provided Di ig'tal equipment there will be no change in channel location and no action is required. Customers using TVs equipped with integrated digital tuners will find these chamlels at the following locations as of August 1St: 29.76 Miami-Dade Television Local Municipal Access: 29.1 Aventura 29.2 Bal Harbor 29.3 Bay Harbor Islands 29.4 Miami Beach 29.5 North Bay Village 29.6 Sunny Isles 29.7 SurfSide 29.8 Golden Beach 29.9 South Miami 29.78 CableTAP Community -CTAPC 29.79 CableTAP Learning -CTAPL www.atlanticbb.com For the minority of our customers who do not subscribe to a digital service or who do not have a digital television set and who want to view the PEG channels, we are offering special converters so that they can continue to view these channels as of August 1St. Atlantic Broadband will make these converters available for $1.00 per month beginning in mid-July, 2010. Customers may contact us at 888-752-4222 for more information or to secure a new converter. We are making every effort to ensure that there is a smooth transition. We initially notified customers of this change beginning in March and have continued to communicate with them throughout the past few months. Our final customer notification in advance of this transition begins June 22 and will continue through July 21.
