Fishman, Vlce-Chairman Members: FROM: Mark Weithorn, Transportation & Parking Committee Chair Jo Asmundsson DATE: July 7, 2010 Moni Cohen Scott Dlffenderfer AI Feola SUBJECT: TPC Motions Dei Fruit Marta Mayer Dear Mayor and Honorable City Commission: !P Morgan 3osephine Pompanos The Transportation and Parking Committee met on June 7, 2010 and passed Marvin Silverman several motions regarding the below discussion items: Scott Timm Seth Wasserman Hvbrid Parklne Amendments to Incentives: The Transportation and Parking Committee passed motion to keep dedicated spaces at 1% at the 42"d Street Garage and once capacity hits, move up to 1.5% and then 29'0, etc. The Committee also passed motion to cap incentive at 59'0, triggering an automatic review of policy. Parkins Violations Fee Schedule Amendments: Committee passed motion that parking violations fees should be increased as follows: • Overtime: $23 ~ Restricted: $30 ~ Prohibited: $30 Parkins Event Flat Rate Amendments: Committee passed motion to limit the City Manager's discretion to surface lots only; fee to be $6 for residents and $18 for visitors or option to use iPark device on a per hour basis; signage and employees to advise anyone entering, what three (3}options are.
