Amendment No. 1 to th,e Architecture and Engineering Services
• Agreement for Arquitectonica International Corp., for the Purdy Avenue Garage
and Retail Project is being presented for,execution. The scope of work included in
Amendment No: 1 includes revisions to the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and
life safety drawings to have the emergency lighting system powered by the
• emergency generator. The total amount for this scope Of work is $3,500. The
• scope of work has been reviewed and approved by C.I.P.
AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO THE PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURE
AND ENGINEERING SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
AND
ARQUITECTONICA INTERNATIONAL CORP.,
DATED APRIL 7, 2009,
FOR THE PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES,
IN AN AMOUNT NOT -TO- EXCEED $3,500.00
FOR REVISIONS TO THE CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE PURDY
AVENUE GARAGE AND RETAIL PROJECT.
This Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement made and entered this 0 - day of
, 2010, by and between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, a Municipal
Corporation existing under the laws of the State of Florida (hereinafter referred to
as CITY), having its principal offices at 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami
Beach, Florida 33139, and ARQUITECTONICA INTERNATIONAL CORP., a
Florida Corporation having its offices at 801 Brickell Avenue, Suite 1100, Miami,
Florida 33131 (hereinafter referred to as Consultant).
RECITALS
WHEREAS, as authorized pursuant to Resolution No. 2008 - 26969, City and
Consultant are parties to a professional NE services agreement (Agreement) for
services for the Purdy Avenue Garage and Retail Project (the Project); and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for the planning, design, bidding / award
construction administration, and additional services for the Project; and
WHEREAS, the Agreement provides for a fee for Consultant in a not -to-
exceed amount of $414,866.00; and
WHEREAS, the following Amendment No. 1 includes revisions to the
completed mechanical / electrical / plumbing / life- safety drawings to have the
life- safety, emergency lighting powered by the emergency generator (rather than
have the emergency garage lighting powered by battery back -up), similar to other
municipal parking garages, for a not -to- exceed amount of $3,500.00; for a total
fee of $418,366.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto, and in consideration of the mutual
promises, covenants, agreements, terms, and conditions herein contained, and
other good and valuable consideration» the respect and adequacy are hereby
acknowledged, do agree as follows:
1. ABOVE RECITALS'
The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated as a part of
this Amendment No. 1.
2. MODIFICATIONS
The Agreement is amended to include the additional scope of services in
Schedule "A-1", attached hereto.
3. OTHER PROVISIONS ,
All other provisions of the Agreement, as amended, are unchanged.
4. RATIFICATION
The City and Consultant ratify the terms of the Agreement, as amended by
this Amendment No. 1.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment No. 1
to be executed in their names by their duly authorized officials as of the date first
set forth above.

Scope of Services:
The scope of work consists of:
• Include revisions to the mechanical / electrical / plumbing / life- safety
drawings (as required) to have the emergency lighting powered by the
emergency generator.
Payment and Compensation:
The total fee proposed for this Scope of Work shall be on a not -to- exceed basis,
in the amount of $3,500.00.

Re: Additional Services for Purdy Avenue Garage and Retail Project
Additional Services for M /E /P Revisions as per added Generator

Dear Mr. Carreno:
• Arquitectonica is pleased to submit this revised Additional Services Proposal for the owner - requested
revisions related to the generator with services provided by Nova Engineering Inc. for the Purdy Avenue
Garage and Retail Project. The additional services are as described below and are outside the scope of
work identified in the 28 April 2009 A -E Agreement:
Project Description
The Project is a mixed -use building consisting of 29,350 SF of ground floor retail and 141,000 SF of
parking on 4 levels above grade, accommodating a total of 435 parking spaces.

Scope of Services
Arquitectonica will contract Nova Engineering to revise the completed mechanical /electrical /plumbing /life-
safety drawings as per the Owner - directed changes to have the life- safety, emergency lighting and
possibly the elevator run by the generator. This scope of services includes the re- design and re-
calculation of the electrical distribution system, re- calculation of the generator sizing and related revisions
• to the mechanical and plumbing drawings as per the revised generator sizing. :
Professional Fees
The aforementioned services by Nova Engineering, coordinated by Arquitectonica, will be provided for a
lump sum fee of Three thousand five hundred dollars ($3,500).
Schedule
The schedule of work shall be in line with the Architect's design and construction schedule.
Contract
All terms of the 28 April 2009 A -E Agreement are applicable to this Additional Service.
