Gonzalez, City Manager DATE: January 28, 2011 SUBJECT: Miami International Film Festival This LTC is provided to you to give you information on the upcoming Miami International Film Festival. From March 4 through 13, the Miami International Film Festival will once again fill Miami Beach venues, from the Colony and Regal Theaters to the host W Hotel South Beach, with international films and filmmakers, entertainment industry agents and executives, seminars, film markets and labs, parties and, of course, film lovers. The City is again supporting Miami Dade College and the Miami International Film Festival as a "Supporting Sponsor," providing assistance in event permitting, parking, use of one of our dedicated screenings at Soundscape and other promotional opportunities. As part of this sponsorship, the festival will provide all City employees and residents an opportunity to purchase tickets to screenings at a discount. The Mayor and Commission also are invited to look through the attached program, of the 2009 Miami International film Festival and choose up to two tickets for the following: • Opening Night - March 4 • Tribute film and reception — March 6 • Closing Night film an6 receptio'n'— March 13 These tickets must be requested no later than this Friday, February 11 Please provide film codes, dates and times to Graham Winick at gwinick(a')-miamibeachfl.gov Any requests after this date will be provided based on availability only.
