Morris Sunshine Dear Mayor and Honorable City Commission:
The Waterfront Protection Committee met on May 3, 2011, and passed the below motion
regarding the Baywalk.
The Waterfront Protection Committee, having reviewed the proposed amendment to Sec. 142 -902 of
the city code, strongly opposes legislation that would commercialize the Baywalk by authorizing the
development of coffee shops, sundry stores, bakery shops, and convenience stores offering beer and
wine sales in buildings adjacent to the Baywalk in the RM -2 Zoning District.
As an Advisory Committee, we sincerely ask that consideration be given to the above motion.
Sincerely,
Waterfront Protection Committee
