SUBJECT.: Miami Beach ,(Teen Club) Players to Perform their New Play- "Any Way the Wind
Blows"
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to cordially invite you to attend the City of Miami
of Beach Parks and Recreation Department's newest theatrical piece, "Any Way the Wind Blows."
This play, brought to life by teens /actors that attend the City of Miami Beach's Teen Club, will
premiere at the 21 St Street Recreation Center, now known as the Teen Center, 2100 Washington
Avenue on Saturday, December 17, 2011. Doors open at 7:00 pm.
"Any Way the Wind Blows" is a musical based on a teen that suffers from drug addiction, and the
adventure and myriad of obstacles she faces in order to change her life. The features musical
renditions of old songs, plus originals created and performed by-the 21 St Street Band.
The Miami Beach Teen Club's drama program gives teens an outlet to express themselves by
offering them the opportunity to produce and act in plays with controversial subjects. The program
Uses this as a teaching tool for such topics as drug prevention, teenage pregnancy and bullying,
just to name a few.
You are invited to join the Miami Beach Players, who recently filled The Colony Theatre to capacity
with their last play "The Freak Show," as they portray how the greatest gift for the Holidays could
