SUBJECT CityVision#43 Now Airing on MBTV77
As part of Miami Beach's ongoing efforts to provide enhanced information about the City to
the community, we are now airing the latest edition of CityVision on MBTV77, our
government access cable TV station
CityVision is a 30-minute video magazine show produced by the Office of Communications
specifically to illustrate the City's progress in meeting the goals of our strategic plan, and to
provide information to our residents on current events, programs and services that affect
them
The December 2010/January 2011 edition of CityVision features the following newsworthy
stories.
• New policy changes within the Miami Beach Police Department are fostering a more
proactive approach to safety in our community;
• Our City celebrates 10 great years of Art Basel Miami Beach with an official Sister
City ceremony with Basel Switzerland;
• We recap the exciting experience of Sleepless Night 2011,
• FIU expands onto Lincoln Road, we're at the grand opening of the new urban
studios, and,
• Computers are more accessible for our students and seniors thanks to a generous
donation by the City& IBM
This edition of CityVision was filmed on site at the newly renovated Miami Beach Botanical
Garden We take a tour of the gorgeous$1.2 million makeover overseen by our City's Office
of Capital Improvement Projects, and hear from the man behind the garden's new look—
landscape architect Raymond Jungles.
