AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AGREEMENT,
DATED OCTOBER 1, 2007, BETWEEN CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND
MIAMI BEACH COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORTATION
THIS AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO COMMUNITY DE ELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
AGREEMENT dated October 1, 2006, is entered into this SI day of A141U1 2012,
by and between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, a Florida municipal corporation, having its principal
office at 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, (City), and MIAMI BEACH
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORTATION a Florida not - for - profit corporation, with offices
located at 945 Pennsylvania Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida 33139.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the City is an entitlement recipient of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) funds as part of its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for
the period from October 1, 2006, to September 30, 2007; and
WHEREAS, on July 12, 2006, the Mayor and City Commission passed Resolution No. 2006-
26253, adopting the City's One -Year Action Plan for Federal funds for Fiscal Year 2006/2007,
authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to sign a CDBG Agreement in the amount of SEVENTY -ONE
THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($71,625) for the Owner Occupied Home
Rehabilitation Program, and further authorizing the City Manager to extend the expiration dates of
the FY 2006/2007 CDBG agreements; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, the parties
hereby amend the Agreement as follows:
1. Section 11, on page 3 of the Agreement, is deleted in its entirety and replaced with the
following:
Term: This Agreement shall commence on October 1, 2006 and terminate on June 30,
2012, with the understanding that at the end of the Agreement, the City has the authority to
re- appropriate any remaining unused funds.
2. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain unchanged and in full force
and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto execute this Amendment No. 1 as of the day
and date first above written.
