Subject: Florida Department of Education Recognition of North Beach Elementary
The purpose of this LTC is to inform you that North Beach Elementary School is ranked
in the top ten percent (78 out of 1,795) of all elementary schools in the State of Florida in
the 2011 ranking of Florida schools per the Florida Department of Education (attached).
Each year the Florida Department of Education recognizes the top ten percent of
schools across the State. This is the first year a Miami Beach public school has been
recognized for this outstanding achievement.
North Beach Elementary is to be commended for their hard work and commitment to
achieving this level of accomplishment. Ranking in the top ten percent speaks to a spirit
of teamwork and the support of a school by the community it serves.
We will continue to support enhanced learning opportunities for youth throughout Miami
Beach through our Education Compact.
