The Waterfront_. Protection Committee met on April•3, 2012 and May 1, 2012, and passed the
below motions regarding rising sea levels and :usa a of segways on the Beachwalk and Baywalk

systems.
- The Waterfront Protection Committee, concerned about the growing number of reports
forecasting rising sea level that would have -serious effects on •American coastal communities,
especially. those in South Florida, urge the Miami Beach City Commission to sponsor a'public
Workshop. to, help raise awareness regarding this future threat to public health and safety.
The Waterfront Protection Committee recommends that the City require a minimum age of 16
years to operate segways'on the Beachwalk Cutwalk and Baywalk in Miami Beach.
As an visory Committee, we sincerely ask that consideration be given to the above motion.
