For the safety of our students, the Committee for Quality Education requests the Mayor and
Commission strongly advocate for the moving of the underutilized traffic light on Garden Avenue
to the unprotected and busy Jefferson Avenue intersection. We request the Mayor and
Commissioner immediately contact Senator Gwen Margolis and Dr. Martin Karp to strongly
advocate for the movement of the traffic light to Jefferson Avenue:

The Committee for Quality Education requests the Mayor and Commission support the Miami
Beach Senior High School traffic study to commence August 20, 2012, with the start of the school
year, to accurately reflect traffic patterns and to support the urgency of keeping students safe.
The Committee for Quality Education urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request.
