application process, the NFL will award eligible member agencies grants of $1000 to recognize programs
and creative strategies relevant to youth football development.
ANALYSIS:
The City of Miami Beach Parks and Recreation Department has submitted an application for said funds.
If awarded, the funds will be used to enhance the Flamingo Park Flag Football Program. The program
serves about 125 children between the ages of 8 and 15. The application was due on December 15, 1998,
and therefore this action is requested retroactively.
