Seth Wasserman The Transportation and Parking Committee met on July 2,2012, and passed the
below motions regarding the Collins Avenue project by the Florida Department
of Transportation.
The Transportation&Parking Committee accepts the recommendation made by
the City on behalf of the Collins Avenue Improvement Association,to enhance
Collins Avenue by placing bulb-outs throughout the mid-street areas of the
project to accommodate for lighting and pay on foot parking stations.
Furthermore, the Committee passed a second motion that due to the loss of
parking for this project which will reduce revenues to the City, the committee
asks that the City conduct an analysis to show how much revenue has been and
will be lost with all the street improvement projects.
As an Advisory Committee, we sincerely ask that consideration be given to the
above motions.
Sincerely,
Transportation and Parking Committee
