SUBJECT: CityVision #51 Now Airing on MBT
As part of Miami Beach's ongoing efforts to provide enhanced information about the City
to the community, we are now airing the latest edition of"CityVision" on MBTV, our
government access cable TV station. The 30-minute news magazine show is produced
by the Office of Communications to illustrate the progress in meeting the goals of our
strategic plan, and to provide information to viewers on current events, programs and
services that affect them.
The July /August 2013 edition of"CityVision" features the following newsworthy stories:
• City Focus: An update on the proposed redevelopment of the Miami Beach
Convention Center.
• Safety First: Our Police Department recently held a"Gun Buy Back," helping to get
these dangerous weapons off our streets.
• Next Generation: The students of Fienberg Fisher Elementary School have been
busy with a new recycling program.
• Planned Progress:We report on the progress of our renovated and rebuilt Flamingo
Park Tennis facility.
• Our Environment: A close look at the ongoing dune restoration efforts.
• Rec Review: Free water aerobics programs.
Other highlights include the opening of the Flamingo Bay Walk and Villa Matti and our
annual Fourth of July celebration.
