AMENDMENT NO. 3
TO EMERGENCY SHELTER SERVICES AGREEMENT,
DATED SEPTEMBER 14, 2013, BETWEEN CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AND
THE SALVATION ARMY, A GEORGIA CORPORATION.
THIS AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO EMERGENCY SHELTER SERVICES AGREEMENT dated
September 14,2011 is entered into this day of 2014, by and between the
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,a Florida municipal corporation, having its principal office at 1700 Convention
Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida, (City), and THE SALVATION ARMY, A GEORGIA
CORPORATION, a Florida corporation,with offices located at 1907 NW 38TH Street, Miami FL 33142
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, this agreement (Fiscal Year 2013/2014) has an expiration date of February 28,
2014; and
WHEREAS, the RFP process has encountered processing delays that have prevented its
completion by February 28, 2014 as originally planned for; and
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, the parties
hereby amend the Agreement as follows:
1. Section 3.1, on page 2 of the Agreement, shall be amended with the following:
FIXED FEE: For the period of this Agreement,from March 1, 2014, through April 30, 2014,the
City agrees to pay a fixed fee of$20 per bed, per day, for a minimum of thirty-one (31) beds,
totaling Thirty Seven Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Dollars ($37,820), to be used by
Contractor to provide Emergency Shelter Services (such Services as set forth in Exhibit"A"and
"B" hereto).
3. Section 4.3, on page 3 of the Agreement, shall be amended with the following:
DURATION AND EXTENT OF AGREEMENT(TERM): Upon execution of Amendment No. 1
by the parties, the term of this agreement shall be extended until April 30, 2014, unless
otherwise terminated by the City of Miami Beach.
2. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain unchanged and in full force and
effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto execute this Amendment No. 2 as of the day and
date first above written.

ON RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS
The Salvation Army in the United States works cooperatively with many groups-
governmental, social service,civic,religious,business,humanitarian,educational,
health,character building, and other groups- in the pursuit of its mission to preach the

I. The Salvation Army is an international religious and charitable movement,
organized and operated on a quasi-military pattern, and is a branch of the
Christian church.
2. All programs of The Salvation Army are administered by Salvation Army
Officers,who are ministers of the Gospel.
3. The motivation of the organization is love of God and a practical concern
for the needs of humanity.
4. The Salvation Army's provision of food, shelter,health services,counseling,
and other physical, social,emotional,psychological and spiritual aid, is
given on the basis of need,available resources and established program
policies.
Organizations contracting and/or cooperating with The Salvation Army may be assured
that because The Salvation Army is rooted in Christian compassion and is governed by
Judeo-Christian ethics,The Salvation Army will strictly observe all provisions of its
contracts and agreements.
