SUBJECT: SPECIAL OLYMPICS FLORIDA "SUMMER GAMES"
We are pleased to inform you that our Parks and Recreation Adult Special Population Athletes
were victorious at the 2014 Special Olympics Florida's "Summer Games ". This is the largest
annual event held by the Special Olympics where athletes compete in track & field, bocce, cycling,
soccer, tennis and volleyball. The event took place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in
Orlando, Florida on May 16h and 17th
Proudly Jose Trevino repeated his 2013 efforts and received a Gold Medal in the soccer
competition. Brian Crapp also returned strong and medaled again this year, earning a Bronze
Medal and Raymond Bogato successfully placed 5th in soccer as well.
In the tennis competition, Clarice Geller brought home a Bronze Medal for a second straight year.
The City of Miami Beach congratulates the athletes on an outstanding performance!
