SUBJECT: Tatum Park Playground Replacement Project
We are very excited to announce that through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the
Office of Housing and Community Development and the Parks and Recreation Department, a new
playground is being purchased and installed using Community Development Block Grant(CDBG) funds
in the amount of $75,000 at Tatum Park, 8050 Byron Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33141 .
The scope of this project consists of a new 5-12 year old children's play structure, shade system and
pour in place safety surface. At the present time, we are in the demolition and site preparation phase.
Once permitting is completed, construction will begin and is anticipated to be completed by May.
During this process, the remainder of the park will remain open to the general public.
