Dear Honorable Mayor and City Commission:
The Transportation, Parking and Bicycle-Pedestrian Facilities Committee met on
July 6th and held several discussions, which produced some recommendations
and an approved motion that are included below.
The Committee recommends that more flexible design of structures for bus
shelters be considered, to include LED display to show times of bus
arrival/countdown.
Motion was passed regarding City petitioning County to change the A Bus Route
to connect to the Mid-Beach Trolley.
The Committee strongly recommends that the City send letter to the County
regarding DOT's denial to have emergency openings on the causeway, as this is
an unsafe condition.
As an advisory Committee,we would greatly appreciate your consideration on
the above matters.
Sincerely,
Transportation, Parking& Bicycle-Pedestrian Facilities Committee
