Re: Miami Beach Solar Power Resolution a v Dear Mayor Levine: This acknowledges receipt of the City Miami Beach's resolution 2015-29079, encouraging the Florida Legislature to remove barriers to customer-sited solar power, and we thank you for same. We're very appreciative of the city's stand on solar power as the League too has long supported solar power initiatives. In fact, the League filed an amicus brief in Florida's Supreme Court in 2014 (still pending) seeking to protect the authority of cities to make low interest loans to business and homeowners to make energy efficient improvements, including solar energy improvements. And we believe the League will continue to support solar power initiatives that respect our members' home rule powers and protect our members' revenue sources. Again, many thanks for sending the city's resolution. If we can ever be of service, please don't hesitate to call. With kind regards, I am, Sincerely, CA' Harry Morrison, Jr. General Counsel i HMj/thr cc: '/Rafael E.
