Morales, City Manager DATE: November 10, 2015 SUBJECT: SR 1-195/JULIA TUTTLE CAUSEW OVER THE INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY REHABILITATION PROJECT The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to provide information regarding the above referenced Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project and, in particular, upcoming nightly closures of up to two (2) eastbound and up to two (2) westbound lanes on the Julia Tuttle Causeway from Tuesday, November 10th through Tuesday, November 24th, between the hours of 11:00 PM and 5:00 AM. As part of this project, the FDOT contractor is scheduled to work on bridge joint repairs. During this time, the outside shoulders will remain open at all times to provide access for bicyclists. FDOT Construction Office will coordinate with SunGuide to display advance notification on overhead Dynamic Message Signs as well as with FDOT Public Information Office to provide updates via social media. The City will disseminate notifications via electronic distribution, social media, and all City's media channels. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
